High School & College Grads
Guillermo Acosta is an 18 year old with Cerebral Palsy and in June will graduate from Miami Killian High School. His intellectual disability and speech impairment has not limited him from learning how to read or enjoy his senior year to the fullest. He attended Grand Night; he went on all the rides and stayed up all night. He went to prom in a limousine with his date and danced the night away. His hobbies are listening to music and going to the movies with his friends. He received a grant from the Able Trust to attend a 5 day program this summer in Tallahassee to learn how to advocate for himself. He is currently attending Project Victory work program through Miami Dade County Public Schools.
To accomplish his future goal of becoming a cook, he will attend the Easter Seals Culinary program from 2010-2011. His parents and friends are very proud of him and what he has achieved.
